MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi I’m Kaira! I am an astrology loving, sage-burning, NYC (Lenape Territory) based licensed psychotherapist and psychedelic guide deeply committed to helping you uncover and work through limiting beliefs and reclaim your inner-power! I am available to serve BIPOC folks and Children of Immigrants in New York through virtual therapy sessions and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

With a particular focus on inner-child and trauma healing, I believe that true transformation stems from exploring the depths of our inner selves. When we face the tough experiences from our childhood that still affect us today, we can start to unravel the complexities of our emotions and gain a deeper understanding of who we truly are. This process of introspection and discovery empowers us to shed the layers of conditioning that have been holding us back and embrace our full potential with a greater sense of awareness and confidence.

  • Therapy is different for everyone. Some people prefer short-term therapy while others prefer long-term ongoing therapy. I will meet you where you are comfortable at. I recommend committing to at least 8-12 sessions to see progress. Before starting therapy, you will need to sign informed-consent documents and complete a short in-take assessment. The initial session will go over over your specific goals and objectives for therapy. Therapy does not guarantee anything, but the goal is to promote change.

  • No, unfortunately. I am licensed in New York only and cannot provide online therapy to clients who live outside of New York. However, I do Life Coaching Sessions for anyone worldwide.

  • The cancellation policy requires 48 hours advanced notice. Appointments cancelled with less notice will incur the rate of an entire session fee.

  • I am not currently taking insurance and am only private pay at this time. I can provide a "superbill" or receipt that you can submit to your insurance to ask for reimbursement. All first-time initial sessions are $225. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes for $200/sessions or 30 minutes for $150/session (for long-term clients). I currently do not have any openings for sliding scale clients. See services and pricing here.

  • Yes, individuals who are not current clients can still undergo Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) with us. To initiate the process, interested individuals would need to go through our initial assessment at Journey Clinical. This assessment helps us ensure that KAP is a suitable and safe therapeutic option for you. Once the assessment is complete, we can discuss the possibility of proceeding with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions. Our commitment is to provide a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to support your mental health and well-being, even if you are not an existing client.

  • For regular therapy sessions, initial sessions are 60 minutes. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes long. I also offer 30 minute sessions for long-term clients. Clinical supervision sessions are either 30 minute or 60 minutes. For an in-person Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) session, from start to finish, encompasses approximately 3 hours.

  • If you are ready to start, schedule a free 15 minute consultation with me here.
